Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows, Santa Monica, California

Contributed by wedding photographer, Erin from Chrisman Studios

Persian weddings always look like the biggest party of the year. We’ve seen quite a few Persian weddings at this point, but Ramona and Albert’s Santa Monica wedding stands out as especially fun. Persians love to dance, but at this wedding,  once the dancing started it never stopped.

The wedding party danced down the aisle into the ceremony – a surprise to everyone, including the bride and groom. “We told everyone to go out on the isle, have fun and dance, but we didn’t expect the level of enjoyment everyone seemed to have,” Albert said.

I love seeing the unending smile on Ramona’s face, and Albert’s wild antics on the dance floor. For two people who have seen a lot of Persian weddings themselves, somehow their wedding ended up being unique, due in no small part to the beauty of the Fairmont Miramar. “We loved the earthy vibe this place had,” Albert said. “We both come from large Persian families, so we have been to weddings at almost every location in a 50-mile radius. The Fairmont was new to both of our families.

Congrats, RAMONA & ALBERT!

RAMONA and ALBERT's dos & don'ts:

  • do try take a moment, every hour,  to take it all in.  It will go by so fast.
  • do take a moment from the party to make sure to talk to everyone and say thank you for coming
  • don't stress the details. if the couple is happy and having fun then the guests will take in that energy. if you are stressed or nervous the guest will feed on that as well.
  • Do consider inviting those that you are temporarily not in good terms with. You may regret why you did not invite them to your wedding afterward!
